StockWave ("we", "us") is a wholesale and dropshipping service for eBay sellers. This page explains what personal information we hold, why, who we share it with, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Questions or requests: email hamza.rashid.99@outlook.com.
1. Information we hold
About sellers and resellers who use StockWave:
- Your name, business name and email address, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password.
- Your connected eBay shop: your eBay user ID and username, and the access keys eBay gives us when you press "Agree" on eBay. These keys are stored encrypted. We never see your eBay password.
- Your listings, prices, orders, earnings and payouts, and who invited you (the sign-up code you used).
- Your card is held by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only Stripe's reference to your card and a card "fingerprint" Stripe provides (used to stop the same card being used to claim rewards twice).
- Records of what you agreed to, with the time and your IP address: accepting the reseller agreement and acknowledging price changes.
- A log of important actions on your account (for example price changes and payments), kept for security and accounting.
About eBay buyers:
- When an item we supply is sold on a seller's eBay shop, we receive the buyer's delivery name, address and, if given, phone number, so we can post the parcel. We do not receive buyers' eBay user IDs, email addresses or payment details.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and our agreement with you: listing on your eBay shop, charging for orders, posting parcels, paying resellers (contract).
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
- To keep StockWave secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and show we told you about price changes (legitimate interests).
- To deliver eBay orders to buyers (legitimate interests of the seller and of us in fulfilling the order).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
- eBay: to create and update listings and read orders on the shop you connect.
- Stripe: to save cards and take payments.
- Couriers (for example Evri or Royal Mail): the buyer's delivery details, to post the parcel.
- Our hosting and database providers (Hostinger and Supabase), who store data for us.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
The reseller you signed up with can see your business name and your sales of their products, so they can manage their sellers. They cannot see buyers' details.
4. How long we keep it
- Account information: while your account is open, then up to 6 years for accounting and legal claims.
- Order and payment records: 6 years (UK accounting rules).
- Buyers' delivery details: as long as needed to post the order and handle problems with it, and within order records as above.
- eBay access keys: until you disconnect your shop. If you close your eBay account, eBay tells us and we delete your eBay ID, username and keys.
5. Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and card forms from Stripe, which means those services see your IP address.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, delete it (where we don't have to keep it), restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another service. Email us at the address above. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in your dashboard.
